Skills Audit

I am determined and enjoy learning and developing new skills when it comes to new programmes and software’s that are needed for a certain project or creating videos and images. I am very skilled when it comes to the Adobe Premiere Pro software as I have been using it for the past 4 years to create my own personal projects and videos or needed for a school project.

I know how to create an TV advert and with that, I also know how to create an audio advert, record audio import/export and edit audio files and the same for recording, editing and import/exporting videos, that can be used to publish onto the web with a professional look to it.

The only thing I need improving in, is to be more organised and do what is needed within the set date, I usually finish before the dead line, but there can be some problems that come out of nowhere and it can slow down my work progress.

I also had to work as in a team and I had to prove that I was a team player but also have the ability to manage and negotiate to others and take on the responsibility. I had to take over the editing part of our old project as I was the only determined one and was far more experienced than the other people in my group. I am also good at problem solving as I have to display and ability to take a logical and sensible approach to solving problems and resolving issues we had faced. I can also approach problems from different angles to try and find a solution.

I’ve enjoyed most of my units we dud for our last project as I learnt new skills from using new software’s and task work. I made a fantasy image which included me taking my own pictures with my phone whilst going on a media trip to a museum then using Photoshop to edit my pictures and pictures taken off the internet to create an image which has a fantasy look to it whilst showing new skills developed through Photoshop, such as being able to change the hue and saturation of an image, being able to layer mask with multiple images and blending certain parts of an image to combine them together.

Even being able to customise my work space on Photoshop and Premiere Pro, it is important to do the default work space as it contains everything Adobe thinks is necessary for people using Photoshop and Premiere Pro, but the default sizes rarely fits all within the work space, so it makes it easier to use when customising the panel layout to suit my own way of working. The panels on each side of Photoshop can be removed by fragging them out of the dick, and new ones by going to the window menu in the main menu bar and selecting the desired panels.

The main thing I enjoyed making was the TV advert as I got to film around the college and meet new teachers who I haven’t worked with before and got to interview them about their experience on the art department and what is has to offer them and the students.






FMP Mind Map

This is a mind map of a few shopping centres that I can go with for my FMP, I feel strongest to go with harrow shopping centre as it is the closest shopping centre to go but between the three options I have shown, it is the smallest.

I've chosen to do shopping centres as I feel its an area which many people to go for fun, supplies and practically everyday needs. I don't think i will get bored from doing this as my topic as each person who I can interview and get to fill in a questionnaire will have different answers which allows me to have a wide range of answers and opinions and different stuff, such as the area being safe, affordable shops, easy travel, etc. So hopefully I won't get bored over the process of this project and can keep myself motivated to up my standards for this and get a high grade.
