Analyse A Promotional Item For London

This website is promoting London and for people to travel to London through British Airways. The main target audience they trying to persuade are people who are looking to go for a holiday abroad, and showing them how amazing and beautiful the heart of London is by promoting the activities they can do within a day, also showing how they can transport around London by using public transport.
I think the website is successful and is eye catching to people who want to travel. The different fonts that are being used is easy to read, see from a mid/far distance for the headlines and has different sections for what to visit and which attractions are suitable for certain people such as; Most popular, Sightseeing tours, First-time visitor, and then they supply information about transport, places to stay and useful information, such as London app via mobile phone and free travel map to help them guide themselves around the London streets.

They use a variety of images for different topics, at the start screen you can the Tower Bridge which is one of London’s biggest tourist attraction. There is a variety of images placed around the home page as they are making it easier for people to understand what it is and trying to advertise. They provide underneath the image what the activity or option it is and once you click one of the tabs, if moves you to another page where they provide a lot of information about the current event and also the history behind them.

The page uses a lot of colour but not just random colours, they use colours that the U.K uses, which are blue red and white, but they also use a few colours from the London train transport map, which represents different lines from around London.

TV Advert, News Report and Poster Analysis

For this TV advert, they are promoting Disney Land and they are doing this by showing kids their favourite Disney characters which would make the kids want to visit them. There isn't really a main image for this advert, as they are showing a variety of Disney characters which catches the viewers attention, mainly for viewers under the age of 13. I believe this advert is successful as it is very colourful which caught my attention, and shows well known Disney characters that people from all ages would recognise with no problem.
In this advert they are promoting an event happening at Disney Land which is The Avengers as at the time the promote the film that was coming out at the time, ' Avengers: Infinity War'. The main thing that the creators are trying to show are the Avengers coming to Disney Land and either helping people are making peoples experience better. This ad is targeted to people who enjoy Marvel films, people of all ages and The Avengers fans.
I think that this advert is a success as the editing used to create the ad is on point and believable to people who may not know how to do those effects and editing skills. It is persuasive as it was a one time event because it was promoting the avengers film coming out at the time.

For the poster they are advertising how families can save up to 25% off most of Disney Lands attractions such as the entire trip cost to Disney Land, Hotels and Park tickets which can be expensive during certain times during the year. The main image that can be seen is Spider-man who is a favourite superhero among many young kids and can attract them to come visit spider-man for themselves, but there is also a castle in front of a moon and the castle could attract younger girls as they can fantasise about being a princess, and behind every princess there is a castle that awaits their arrival. The advert is mainly aimed for adults as they are the ones paying for the Disney Land experience, and they are trying to help them save money and their experience, but they also made the poster add family friendly, as they did include a superhero and a castle for kids and to get their attentions. I believe the poster is successful as which parent wouldn't want to save money especially on something expensive and get to enjoy the experience as a family. If I was to ever visit Disney Land when i'm older and have kids, then yes this would catch my eye and would probably increase my chances of going with my family.

Digital Image Types

When talking about the resolution of an image, resolution refers to the number of pixels in an image. Resolution is sometimes identified by the width and height of the image as well as the total number of pixels in the image. Dpi stands for 'Dots per Inch.' Dots per Inch is a measure of spatial printing, video or image scanning, in particular the number of individual dots that can be placed in a line within the span of 1 inch and PPI  is 'Pixels per Inch' which is a measurement for on screen images and for print.

For websites the traditional files to use when using an image is either GIF or JPEG as they are the easiest to import and most websites nowadays use them on their websites.

JPEG, png, GIF, SVG, Tiff and BMP are all used to transfer data or upload images. Tiff files are much larger than JPEGs, making them harder to upload or email. JPEG compression does discard some image data based on the amount of pixel compression's being used.
CMYK stands for 'Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black,' These are the four basic colours used for printing coloured images, unlike RGB (Red, Green and Blue), which is used for creating images on a computer screen, and for CMYK the colours get darker as you blend them together or over lap them.

In our coursework, we have always been advised to use 72 Dpi as the images appear quickly over an internet connection but we were also advised not to use it when it comes to printing otherwise it will come out unclear and look unprofessional.

Local Football clubs
There are a few football clubs located within north west London where they provide opportunities for young people to explore the sport and to build them skills that are needed for the sport. The clubs also help people who have a passion for football to become recognised and have a chance at the big leagues.

Venceremos football club is one of many football clubs located in North West London and as I attended the club when I was younger, the experience was amazing, despite not being the best at the sport, I was taught well by ex-football players and coaches. It is a good way to spend your free time as it can build character and strengthen yourself. It is family friendly, affordable and safe as they have basic first aid experience and first aid kits around the training ground.

Primary research Museum of London

For this we went on a trip to the Museum of London and we took pictures of what the museum held inside, I managed to take a few but unable to take a lot more than what I had because my phone died mid way through the trip, but I managed to capture a few images of what the museum offered to us and a few buildings from the area of London we were in and around the museum.

Stills In Premiere
For this we had to create a still image slide on premiere pro on anything we want, but because I don't have access to school computers and once I downloaded the software on my laptop the programme wouldn't allow me to export the video has I was missing a drive on my old laptop and the programme wasn't exporting so this was the best I could do. I managed to get all my images in and experimented with fonts to give it a shadow effect. I enjoyed doing this because I enjoy using Premiere Pro and I am skilled with the software which made it easy for me to complete.
